Saarbrücker Hütte with Teresa and Peter
Teresa and Peter came to Vorarlberg to go skitouring with us for a weekend. We drove up to the Silvretta and skied up to Saarbrücker Hütte. The snow wasn't amazing but the terrain is pretty wicked, definitely have to go back here, in summer and in winter.
Teresa and Peter going up, can you see the hut?
We reached the hut and it was closed. Well, we knew about this, but the winter room (no service and no hot cooked meals for us) was open so we could stay there.

The next morning we got up early and left the hut to go skiing, yeah!
Looking back to where we came from the day before.
Looking towards Kromerlücke.
Litzner Glacier and Great Seehorn
That's where we stayed, Saarbrücker Hütte
Standing on the Litzner Saddle and looking towards Klostertaler Egghorn, looks like a nice playground.
We continued towards Sonntagsspitze.
Almost on the top of Sonntagsspitze, Winterberg in the background.
Well, snow wasn't amazing but this was probably the best part :-).
We went back to Litzner Saddle and hiked up to Verhupf Glacier.
It wasn't that steep, i just turned the camera a bit.

The ski down from Sattelkopf via Verhupf Glacier wasn't great since the snow was wind compressed. The run was pretty long, 1000 m vertical so in good snow conditions it would be a wicked run.
Once we got back to the car we figured out that the batteries are flat.
On the way home we stopped in a restaurant where we got a massive Schnitzel.
Great trip Teresa and Peter.
