I made another mountain bike movie. This time at night. Yes, night riding in the shore. It is pretty good fun to ride all those stunts in the dark with a head lamp on, check it out! Warning: The movie is pretty long (7 min.) and might be boring for someone who isn't into mountain biking. Enjoy.

We got a new camera. It is a Nikon D80 SLR. We haven't used it too much, but last we took some pictures and there is actually a pretty big difference between the pocket cameras and and the SLRs. Pictures are coming soon... Here is a pictures when Kerstin and Jumbo unwrapped the camera, pretty exciting.

Most of you probably know already but I thought I put it on my blog: I changed my employer, my new company is Infinity Engineers. I now design bridges instead of high rise towers. So far it is pretty interesting and I really enjoy the new challenge. At the moment I am working on a 1000 meter long bridge up in the Northern Territories of Canada. It is quite the structure and I don't get home anymore at 4 or 5pm :-). If you want to see a little bit more about the structure check this movie out, it is pretty interesting:

The bridge is close to Yellowknife, it is not that close to Vancouver so I doubt that I go for a site visit soon. 2300km would be a long drive from Vancouver.

The longest span of the bridge is 190m, the approach spans are 112.5 m each. The bridge is replacing a ferry in the summer and an ice bridge in the winter. In fall and spring there is no possibility to cross the river. If you don't know what an ice bridge is check this link on wikipedia .
